I started a new job 4 months ago. Have gotten lots of positive feedback. They keep increasing my workload, I am now 200% allocated so I flagged this with my boss before the break who was very receptive and said would get me help. Fast forward to me following up and it’s a completely different story - I am apparently taking too long on things. This shook me. We are going to talk more this week. Advice?

If you're 200% allocated, of course you're taking too long on things! Be calm, but firm. Try to orient this as the two of you tackling the problem of you being overallocated, not you vs. your boss. Come to the meeting prepared with examples: I was assigned X and Y, both needed a 24-hour turnaround, but both took me a day because I couldn't delegate or needed information or whatever. This is why I reached out before the break -- we need to find a solution that gets the work done (and done well) and clients what they need in a timely fashion, but obviously that can't happen if one person is doing the work of two people. And then have a recommendation: I think we should... Hire someone else? Redistribute the work? Extend our timelines?

What are you thoughts on splitting shared expenses 50/50 or proportionate to income with SO? What if both make over $175k but there is still a significant % delta (30%+)? Mid 20s, bought a condo together (split 50/50) and will likely get engaged soon.

I grew up with strict father who doesn’t like getting happy and showing emotions , there are instances I felt this was specifically for women. When I got out of my home around 17 for college I became a very cheerful and excited person for every single thing. I loved myself , enjoy every sunset etc. met my boyfriend who was an introvert but he used to feel so happy seeing me happy for tiny things in life. FF 7 years - married and all I hear is sarcastic comments for my emotions. Contd..

S2 about to be a S3 in a high COL city making 84k in FDD (top 10 firm) without CPA. Raises are being communicated this week... is it reasonable to counter offer if my raise is not where I want it to be and how could I approach this topic respectfully? I'm really hoping to be in the 94k+ range especially since I've been a key player in my groups biggest client for the last year. I'm considering quiting to pass my exams in the next few months if my raise is not where I want it to be...

Hi all - I’m working as a Jr AE at a remote agency. Before full-time at this agency, I interned there for 2 years and often did pro-bono work. I love my company so much, but I often feel stuck when it comes to salary and growth. The salary is minimum wage and every time I ask about a raise they agree I need one but never get around to it. Today, I was offered a position at another agency as a remote AE with more than double my current salary. I didn’t seek this job out but don’t know what to do.
