When is Google resuming relocation?
Hi Fishes
My last working date is 18 Aug and was ready to join Morgan Stanley by 22 aug but in the offer letter present on the taleo website it's given as 22nd Sep,
HR told me it's normal so do they send a revised offer letter with new joining date after the background verification is completed?
Or something on the mail for revised joining date?

I had this exact issue. Working 1-2 hours per day. I did what I wanted for about a year and then interviewing was probably the least stressful ever because I only worked 2 hours a day so I could interview whenever without worrying about meetings or work getting in the way. Lost about 30lbs as well. It was great. Now working for a smaller company making a much bigger impact and working more hours but I love it. Chill for a year. It’s a nice break from the grind. Then come back and be ready! Try to pick up a new skill while there. Of course this was all during the pandemic and remote work so if you have to go in the office and work 2 hours a day this is all invalidated hahaha
I’ve found myself in this position twice now. Both times I tried to be grateful and relax and both times I ended up completely bored and unsatisfied. We NEED challenges in life. A lot of people (many of whom commented on this post lol) believe that the key to happiness is the absence of problems, obstacles, and challenges. In reality though, happiness comes from overcoming those challenges. (Pretty sure I read this in The Subtle Art of not Giving a F*%$”). It sounds like most of these commenters are on the far other end of the spectrum and are very overworked. There ARE companies though that respect work life balance. Tell your company your work load is too low. Tell them what you want to work on. Ask how you can help them. If they just don’t have the work, quit and find a company that does. If you quit and end up in a miserable job? Quit again. Keep learning and keep growing. Don’t become complacent and stuck in the name of being “grateful”.
I’m in the same boat! But I am absolutely thrilled to not be in a busy chaotic job anymore and thrilled to be able to work out on my lunch break, run errands if I need to… while still doing good work and making more money. Try to enjoy it!
If I were in your shoes, I’d use the extra time to learn more about the business or bone up on something I want to develop professionally
Where do you work? I want to join
Look up overemployed
Is your role still Customer Success? This is my dream scenario now! I understand your uneasiness though. I would try and find a project to help the company and continue learning/professional development
You need to use this extra time to enrich your personal skill set. Prepare for the next big thing or the possibility that you’ll be laid off.
Give it sometime, as the new person it may take sometime to build up a workload. This happens even switching jobs within a company.
A job isn't just a job when you expect to become the best version of yourself as a result of your career choices. Perhaps you're not fulfilled by the work you do. If that's the case, your job is interfering with your track toward self-actualization (refer to Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs).
Realizing that your job cannot provide what you need in this respect calls for self-assessment. Consider what you need, what's holding you back, and make a move before your unhappiness becomes unbearable. Good luck ❤️
Great advice. Thank you.
Not understanding the issue. What addl. challenges/headaches were you hoping for?
You are blessed. Most of us are dying for some work life balance. Enjoy it and on your down time, soak up any knowledges/courses that you can.
Can I take your role?
I was in this exact situation in the first couple months at my new remote job until more work was added to my duties. Not complaining, but also not as bored anymore now that I’m learning much more and I also feel more relevant to my team/company.
That sounds problematic for your growth. You might try finding new work to do in the company, maybe try being a fly on the wall watching what your teammates are doing and help offload their work. Try spending 20 percent of your time on growth opportunities and training

Switch with me because I am six months in an entry level PO role and still fighting for my life right now.
How long have you been working there? That’s always common in the first month
Just enjoy it
Are they still hiring?
Enjoy it!
enjoy it while you can!
