Rotate to audit. Than pivot to industry. It’s hard to go from tax to industry that isn’t tax related. Or I guess you can start over in finance but that may be hard because you’ll have no relevant experience.

Switch to FDD. S1s are getting 100k+ now.
I work in the transaction integration services - post merger integration team. This falls under Deloitte tax. But my team is very different than regular tax teams as we do not do calculations. We are very high level and we focus on the tax integration piece of m&a transaction.
Consulting all the way. I work in audit now and want to quit / move back. If you’re good at interviewing and people like you, you can leverage the Big 4 title. Clearly you’re already smart enough to get into a big 4 firm.
