Do you have friends at work that you can ask? When I tried to take time off my first year I asked other associates what the norms were and how they handled it. Unfortunately I think every group is different.

Take your vacation. Not taking it will not make a difference in “three” months, let alone in a few years

Plan a staycation for when your next big case/ deal is over

I work at a growing consulting firm in the Data Privacy space (but have mainly done IT Audit and Cybersecurity work to date). I think I would eventually want to do Privacy work in industry but want to build more experience and knowledge in the space first. I also really like the WLB I have at my current job (around 45 hr work weeks). I occasionally get reached out to by Big 4 recruiters. Am I missing out by not engaging with these recruiters? I feel like I would lose my WLB if I pursue Big 4.

Good day, I have 15 years combined experience in workforce/human capital/HRBP after transitioning from a psychosocial background. The last 10 years, I have been overseas and while I am looking for opportunities globally, I am open to returning to the US for either remote work or something in the warmer states. Been having a difficult time getting noticed despite having worked with multinational companies including INGO. Any leads, insights would be appreciated.

Staff has been back in the office full time since Nov. 7th - Document Services has been riddled with colds, Covid scares and commuting fears. Management says attorneys need document services in office 24/7. Do you think there is a real Firm Need for on-site document services? Note - PA/Secretary is separate from Document Services. Not printing, not mailroom, just technical doc work. Also, NY Doc Svcs Night Shift is worried about muggings when commuting, Chicago highway shootings.
