I was in a similar situation previously and Honestly you don't keep learning unless you put in lots of extra time and effort to attend events, learn from webinars and stay on top of all the things digital. I loved my previous agency and the people were what kept me around. After almost 2 years of no real support, no challenge, no new clients and no real opportunity for growth (because at the end of the day the # of years experience across multiple clients/verticals is how you move up in pay/title), I made a move and I'm so much happier. I've learned more in the last month than I did in the last year at my previous agency.
Second this.
It’s always good to experience the tribulations of being the smartest person in the room because it challenges you to get resourceful. But, there will come a time when that isn’t interesting anymore. Maybe ask for more responsibility and make it clear that you want to keep learning.
Sounds like you know the answer to your question. One can always negotiate time off on specific days before accepting an offer
... on digital ad campaigns before). And my other coworker is moving next week. The people are generally nice and easy to work with, our clients are not the best, but the PTO policy is the main thing keeping me here because I have a lot planned for next year. Is that bad? How do I keep learning if I’m the most senior digital person with only 3 years of experience?
