I started practicing at the height of COVID and I’ve been trying to relax a little bit more now that things have loosened up a bit, but I just heard yesterday that COVID might spike again during the holiday traveling season, and I had such a hard time sleeping last night because I felt so anxious. Am I the only one?

No its not a matter of if its when im anxious too but i think much less deadly . Omnicron has been said to rip through all us households so people have either already been exposed or vaccinated.

helpful

That makes sense. Even when I know that it likely won't be as deadly, I still feel physically terrified. How do you cope with it?

If you are vaxxed, boosted, and wear a mask you should not be impacted very severely. I know it is still a possibility, but try not to lose sleep over it.

Thanks for this encouragement. I know this is the truth, but I still get panicky about it out of nowhere sometimes. I need to try to find some tools & techniques that will help me relax and not feel so stressed about it. I'm hoping maybe others have some advice about that.

Nope, I feel the same. I've been restless since the news about the new variant reached the news. I'm fully vaxxed and boosted but I srill can't help but feel unsafe.

Solidarity and love to you. It's a scary feeling, and it's hard to shake sometimes! Hoping you can make it through the fall & winter and not feel so stressed. I know it's not easy!!

Like every disease it was far deadlier at first now unless your highly susceptible to it getting ove rit takes a little longer then the flu. Caught it twice the first time was horrible the second time (omnicron) was like a bad cold Im in Healthcare and am a transplant recipient so immune system suppresed makes me far more likely to catch it and suffer from it. I simply don't think about it. The same way we practice safety with blood and needles( im sure you dont worry about getting aids everytime your exposed to blood or bodily fluids. Just wear your ppe do your job to the best of your ability and relax at home

I agree with this. It is getting less and less worse with each strain. I would say try not to worry but I now that is easier said than done.

The flu season looming with new covid outbreak this winter is inevitable. People need to get boosted. The dominant strain in Europe which has already traveled to New York is a shoot off of the b variant which is covered in the bivalent booster.

like

Hopefully, more people will take the time to get their boosters! I worry about people's health and safety so much.

We have had tiny covid spike ups a few months ago. Looks like the new cases have gotten more manageable. The vaccines are working. Take it easy while also preparing yourself mentaly and physically.

Burnout is because you did something consistently for an extended period. You can do quick fixes like go on vacation, get some sleep, exercise more. But they may only help temporarily, depending on your level of Burnout.

Try adjusting your approach to work / life to a more sustainable, and ideally, enjoyable balance.

Any thoughts on the 75 Hard challenge? I’ve started seeing it circulate on social media again and I’m interested to give it a try (I do better working out and eating well in a framework). But, I’m not sure I love how rigid the program is - seems like it could be setting you up for a bad relationship with your diet and/or exercise.

At one time I had status on most airlines and hotels but I never bothered to focus on accumulating points since it seemed like they were infinite and I booked on convenience. Oh have times changed! I even let go of Amex platinum, just wasn’t worth it to me. Base airport LAX/SNA so no airline pref.

Are these certificate courses in Product/Project Management any good? Are there jobs out there where I can get started? So far, the jobs I've seen online require a lot of experience.

Hi! I'm currently trying to move into the IT field and have been getting a few interviews for smaller tech companies, but I'm interested in applying to larger names like Google. Does anyone happen to know what hiring managers or recruiters may be looking for in a cover letter? Do they really read cover letters or are they just scanned through ATS systems? Should I be trying to match keywords from the job listing or go with a more personal approach? Any advice would be appreciated!
