d1 - TFS is a role at Accenture. A TFS - talent fulfillment specialist - ostensibly helps you get staffed. I say ostensively because I agree. Completely unhelpful. Have found all my roles in spite of, not because of, my TFS
I tell my TFS what I'm doing, never the other way around.
They're the MOST useless people I've ever encountered in my life. The guy that asks me for a dollar at grand central is at least doing something with his life. All the TFS pple do is send you an email asking you what you're working on - not even bothered to check to see what you're booked on. It's pathetic to say the least.

depends on the team. for my team, we tracked use cases, business requirements, system requirements, design tasks, client action items etc. great tool if it's utilized properly

My group has cycled through four. Their level of usefulness has diminished over time. They can't even give a clear view of pipeline anymore.
They're even worse if you are trying to staff people and your role is overdue. They are extra people who ask for status. "Why isnt't your role staffed?" Ask yourself tfss why don't you send me people?
Haha! A5 - respect for the Grand Central guy. Yeah, I just got a new person and she seems way better than the last one. She actually listened. Impressed. Of course the TFS before was dumber than a sandwich so almost anyone is more impressive.
In case anyone is wondering...the equivalent at PwC (known as Demand) is equally as fucking useless. If anything they're damaging to the firm through their complete incompetency.
We have them for new joiners and bottom tier performers. That's why we outsource it to Argentina and they all are terrible
I think it differs by practice, the MDs in mine have multiple chats with the tfs each week to make sure all consultant and below resources are staffed and many times bring the unstaffed ones onto their own projects
