I was the same way. No matter how much sleep I got I was always tired. No energy. I would yawn all day. I could fall asleep anywhere during the day and couldn’t focus on anything. I went to the doc to get prescribed addoral. I didn’t get it to focus. I really got it so I could stop feeling tired all day. It’s helped. I’ve made sure to keep on a small dosage only 5mg twice a day, when I wake up and after lunch. I like to think of it as a really strong coffee. Helps me focus and stay awake through the day. I don’t take it on the weekends either. I just take it for work.
OP, don’t start taking any medications or boosters until you have seen a Medical Doctor and the root cause has been determined.
See your Family Doctor and request to go to a sleep lab, in order for your sleeping pattern to be monitored one night. Also ask to go for a blood test, so your iron level can be checked. The reason you might be feeling exhausted all the time and having a hard time focusing might be due to a sleep disorder or anemia.
For example, you might have sleep apnea. While you think you’re getting sleep, you might actually stop breathing many times during the night, resulting in your brain being deprived of oxygen for a couple of seconds. This obviously will result in poor sleep quality. If you are anemic, you will constantly feel tired and without taking iron pills and increasing your iron intake, you won’t feel your best.
After all investigations, your Doctor will use their professional judgment to prescribe whatever you need and will keep monitoring you.
Finally seeing a PCP tomorrow morning to get some progress on figuring this stuff out. I do want to continue my P.A. career for now but if I don't stop these issues from deteriorating, I'm not gonna make it.
That's called depression. Try talking to a doc or therapist. Drink water. Eat 3 meals. Get 8 hrs of sleep.
Look up functioning depression
Water and workout
Done that. Still doesn't appear to be helping long term.
Adderall
I cannot express this strongly enough... get your thyroid checked. It is a simple blood test. If you are hypothyroid, which is really common, a daily thyroid supplement prescription will make you feel a lot better.
Sleep and CBD. Trust me will work miracles
As in Viagra?
I’ve been this way most of my life, so I got a sleep study done and it turns out I have hypersomnia, which basically means I get less REM sleep than the average person, no matter how many hours I sleep. It’s rough :/
Could be burn out and you need a sabbatical or a vacation or a new job
Are you in good physical shape? Put your body first, get shredded in the gym. If you already are, maybe try the chemical route. The tiny blue pill chemical route.
I had the same issue and it was bad vitamin deficiency and started taking vitamins. Still working out the mental side but the physical side is night and day difference.
CPAP time!
Try intermittent fasting. I am very active, and I was more of a grazer who also had one big meal a day. But I get pretty tired when I eat and become unfocused/unmotivated. So I would compensate by drinking lots of coffee which I’m also seeing now that this dependency is not the answer. Just started intermittent fasting and already can feel a difference. Sleeping more soundly, not feeling hungry until my fasting period is ending, drinking more water, feeling alert because I’m not in a food coma/insulin spike. Not saying it’s the answer to everything, but it is another option to try! Good luck, figure out what works best for you!!!
Oh plus it’s less meals I have to worry about preparing/paying for, and saves time I would have spent eating to do work and get out of the client site sooner to do things I actually enjoy and can look forward to! Ok I think I’m done now best of luck!
How much sleep are you getting and is it good quality?
Donald is that you?
Talk to your dr about having a sleep rest done to see if you are actually sleeping well.
Most likely your sleep patern. Check for sleep apnea.
Try taking Nugenix. It’s technically a "testosterone booster” but it gives you great energy and confidence. Also has some side benefits.
Ask you PCP to get a blood test. Sounds classic lack of vitamin B12 or D3.
