I applied for some senior positions at AbbVie online 2 weeks ago. The status appears as “resume received” for some positions, status of one position appears as “under review” while another position shows “in progress”. Any idea how long their hiring team takes to get back following the application?
Does anybody have any advice when applying to postings with many applicants and getting noticed? The company I am interested in is Figma, and though I reached out to a few technical recruiters after applying through LinkedIn, I am wondering if there might be something more I could do that maybe I’m not thinking about. Also along those lines, if anybody here works for figma I would love the chance to connect
Anyone here in IB restructuring willing to share tips and good resources to use to prep for an upcoming interview? I don’t have IB/finance experience but took a modelling course on wallstreetprep. Also, I am planning on studying the HL case study and read the interview guides on restructuringinterviews.com. Lastly, If you can share what the interview was like for you, that would be appreciated. TIA

There are bunch of free resources on the internet that business schools put out - matter of just putting in the right search words. I know NYU, duke, UPenn, insead have good material out there
Thanks! I tried these back in college and didn’t think to look back at them. I’ll see how these work for me before paying for a course
Very few people are naturally good at cases. They exist but generally most strategy consultants I know spent A LOT of time doing practices cases. It is really one of those things where you get out of it what you put into it.
I’m definitely willing to put in the work to improve — I guess just kind of overwhelmed by the resources out there
Rising Star
OP, I was so scared of them. I’d never even heard of them when I got my BCG interview and I had four weeks to prep. No prior consulting experience and I came from enterprise tech sales.
What I came to see is more than anything else, it’s a pressure test. The job does see you absolutely drenched with NOISE all the time, in a high pressure, “feedback oriented” environment. Are you going to crack? Are you cool under pressure? Can you at least give off the appearance of being cool under pressure?
A couple of my case performances were not great (BCG told me so!) but I was so strong on the other qualities they look for, I got through. It isn’t about business knowledge or even passing the case.
I have some old resources I used that I’m happy to share with you if you DM.
Following, same boat 🥲
Same! I feel so dumb after case interviews. I’ve been reading a bunch of books, but I think practicing multiple CI is the best way to get over the imposter syndrome. Looking for resources as well.
Where are you interviewing? I’ll give you a case DM me
Thank you so much for the offer! I’ll dm you
I’ve heard good things about rocketblocks. Would you recommend the monthly sub or annual pass? And what about the coaching sessions?
