Started a new job and meeting the team for the first time tomorrow (via zoom). I have natural curls (2C/3A) and in the past have always blown it out for first impressions. Recently I found out a male colleague was complaining about me to a female colleague and she finally had enough of it. She told me what he was saying, and I shared this with my boss. She decided to pull me and him on a zoom, he denied it and now he won’t talk to me. His emails are weird and it’s uncomfortable. Any advice? He refuses to talk about it.

Any advice on not letting frustrations come out in an unproductive way over slack chats or other virtual programs, especially as we use these more and more instead of direct discussions?

I’m a people person and would really enjoy an environment with more collaboration (in-person ideally, but over Zoom is fine too). As I evaluate jobs while passively looking how can I determine if the culture is truly collaborative?
