Anyone have any insight into how well state AG positions set you up for their federal corollaries? I am interviewing with a specialist branch of a ~more noteworthy~ states attorney general office (think securities/antitrust/consumer protection, think NY/CA). I think a big factor is how well this would set me up for SEC/FTC/CFPB etc. I might want to stay, but wondering how fed govt hiring managers might view the experience (when they often hire from biglaw). I otherwise have biglaw credentials

I recently went in-house and noticed that OC bills are out of control, mainly due to extremely high billing rates. Has anyone negotiated lower rates with OC? And if so how to go about it?
