2. as senior engineer with 8+ years experience, which level will I match in ACN E.g. level 9?
3. Is there a chance to boost my salary when they pairing the level?
Thank you in advance

Art of Manliness has a couple of excellent podcasts on finding what you were meant to do (it’s not particular to men, promise). I’d highly recommend diving into StrengthsQuest or something similar and finding and pursuing something that aligns with your personal mission. If you’re young and unencumbered, do what it takes now (while the costs are relatively low) to find your path and do the low paying entry level ground work to establish yourself.
I'll have to check that out! That sounds nice. Thank you for the recommendation!
This might be an unpopular opinion, but also consider staying in tax and finding a new setting (e.g. team, clients, industry, firm, whatever). I thought I hated tax at first, but I love it now. In my experience, the people and clients you work with make a dramatic difference in your job satisfaction.
All entry-level positions get stuck with the “grunt work” that no one else wants to do. You might not need to change your entire career, you might just need to find the setting that works for you.
Data science. Look up their salary
It’s a shame because tax tech is a very fascinating field. But ultimately, it still has a long way to go in the tech part.
I thought I hated tax, turns out I just didn't fit well with my team.
Audit
Hahaha well 😅
Maybe go more into financial planning route. I've seen some tax people leave and go to wealth asset firms to get more of a mix compared to doing just tax
What things do you like to do?
Outside of work, I really enjoy football and golf... However, not many things I can do in those to make money haha
I recommend talking to your friends in different career paths and try to understand exactly what they do and try to match it with your strengths.
The better question is “what do you hate about tax?”. Dig a little deeper.
Teach at a college! It’s so easy but fun!
How does he enjoy the research component? About much of his time does that account compared to teaching? I've always been curious to how the workload is split.
Come on man, tax is the best
Maybe an airline. Or you could go into retail. Try a meat packing plant. Perhaps health care as front line responder.
It's a trap!
