It's Stockholm syndrome, you're so used to busy season that when u are free you are not sure how to experience life. I get that way sometimes too
Also try to not just fill the time with Netflix and/or video game binges. They're fun but should be limited to maybe one evening a week and a morning on the weekends (or whatever time slot works for you, just not every day). Do stuff that's fulfilling and engaging. Cook, clean, exercise, meet people, call a family member you don't get to chat with much and catch up, anything. I say this for myself as much as I do for others :)
Hang with friends. Rekindle an old hobby. Leave work before 5:00. Just a few things I do to get my mindset right after busy season.
I was going to post something similar in terms of Stockholm syndrome! That's exactly what it is! I am experiencing the same thing, and left work early today but ended up coming home and taking a nap. Smh. It's difficult getting back into the groove of life and what it means outside of work. Like everyone else said in this thread, try your best to do what you love. I know it's easier said then done, but you can do it! It takes one step at a time. Tomorrow I am working from home, but I will be doing other things, such as playing the guitar, cleaning, and setting some goals. I am here to encourage that there's more to life then work. And like @taxmanager1 said, this is advice to myself as well.
Nope . Training for spartan race is my new goal
