Same and I hate when people are dicks about honest mistakes
Creating slides and editing slides are 2 different skill sets. Tough to be great at both.
Tip: Work on it, walk away, come back and review with fresh eyes. I've don't this and immediately noticed something I may have overlooked several times. And spell check multiple times. If possible, have someone else review.

Following for tips
I've made a checklist, I've set aside time to solely go though documents for formatting, but every single time it's "this is the wrong format"
Try and maximize your use of relevant graphics. Use flow charts when you have processes or methodologies involved. If you have lots of numbers, try and highlight how the numbers are relevant to the topic and bold/italicize them. Use the PWC colors in your deck - either in font color or background color...the likes of this
Also! Avoid empty real estate on your slide. Nothing annoys a M/SM than empty space that they could possibly use to BS
@D1 its not PowerPoint it's word
little stuff but when creating/ editing, use grid lines to make sure everything lines up correctly and then read out loud when you are editing
