I think I may be close to having a total break.... in case it gets worse how would I go about getting an unpaid leave of absence from my work? I don’t want to do permanent harm to my mental health

I took unpaid leave last year bc of a lot of personal issues I had going on. You fill in some paperwork on the Accenture portal (believe it’s a word doc you download and upload into a request). I just said I had personal issues that is interfering with work and affecting performance. Don’t need to state everything. It got approved and off I went. DM me if you wanna talk

I imagine Accenture has short term disability benefits. Deloitte's include mental health. I'm on paid leave because I was so burnt out, I couldn't function. Worth looking into?

Just asked to be pulled off my case, did a bit of a break (using “sick” time) then had my therapist write a note limiting my hours to 40 for 4 weeks. Basically made me unstaffable (plus I had some vacation) so I got some beach time. Though, the thought of being staffed had me anxious for the first few hours of every day, so in retrospect I should have just taken leave. You can take 12 weeks unpaid at most companies with very little documentation, but it helps the conversation if you’ve already tried therapy. Good luck, take care of yourself and enjoy the break - do it sooner than later and you’ll be glad!!

like

If you can, I’d try to avoid getting to a breaking point. If you can be proactive and manage it when you’re getting close you’ll do yourself a lot of favors

For sure, I’m definitely doing everything I can think of it’s just I can tell I’m trending in a particular direction....

I would talk to your HR person. Also, are you seeing a therapist? I found that to be helpful for me. I was able to find someone that does Saturdays, so I didn’t have an excuse not to go.

DM me. Let’s talk

I was promoted early this year from an assistant “hourly” role to a managerial “salary excempt” role, but my old job hasn’t been replaced and it’s been 5 months. It’s an unfair workload and assisting someone else takes up so much time that I can’t learn and develop in the managerial role. And I find myself constantly working overtime and not getting paid fairly, even with the pay raise I got when I was promoted. I want to send my employer an email saying they’re in violation of FLSA.

I firmly believe leadership makes the difference.

Not only, it highlins each one's value, but especially spreads this value among others.
I'm speaking about life, in a broad sense, which also include work life, but it is not limited to that.

Looking for any kind of suggestion to improve my leadership: books, experiences, attitudes, daily-routine, ...

Thank you!

Current offers: Accenture (12LPA fixed, 2.5L variable), Cognizant (14.3LPA fixed, 45K variable) 2. Nature of work - What kind of work can I expect from these companies? 3. would I get the opp to use any authoring Tools? 4. Work life balance - which is better? 5. Increments - avg % hike? 6. Culture - which is better?

But the work itself is soul crushing and the industry is stagnant. To those who are 40+ years old, is it crazy to change now?
