I think I’m being paid way under market for my in-house job. 7yrs at company in NYC in the real estate industry. If In the same market would you comment your salary?

I have received offer from IBM last week and have one more offer from L&T , I want to negotiate salary with IBM by showing this counter offer, I tried reaching onboarding spoc multiple times over phone she never picked nor called me back, I sent an email too but no response, can I wait or shall I accept the offer from L&T.

1. I have 7 YOE with 13.3 CTC in the security domain, looking to understand how much I can negotiate in EY GDS.

2. What's the equivalent position in EY GDS for a Senior Consultant role in Deloitte.

What are some of the non-compensation components of your job offers that you negotiated, and how?

I wish Ad salaries were like NBA salaries. Each year you get a ridiculous raise no matter how shitty you perform. If you are good you get bird rights and no layoff clauses. And retire at 35.

Anyone here that’s moved from a HCOL or MCOL city to a LCOL city? In the process of doing that now and can work remotely making the higher base of the bigger city. Seems like it will have a lot of positives. Anyone run into challenges? I could see future salary negotiations in the LCOL city being more difficult if I were to move to a different company.

I work at a large Fortune 50 company. Getting more and more frustrated about endless bureaucracy, constant political power struggles, lack of resources for basic compliance programs, and constantly playing whack-a-mole for issues we should be proactively addressing. Left BigLaw for better work life balance but not finding it. Is that because I’m in BigCorp? Do the same issues prevail in smaller private companies?

Applying for some in-house M&A jobs, and a big focus is being able to run deals. I of course feel very comfortable running deals from the corporate side and managing multiple teams, but have obviously always had an army of specialists in biglaw. How does this work in house? I’m primarily thinking from a tax perspective — I likely wouldn’t be able to structure a deal (and don’t think many of my peers could either) since we always rely on a tax team, but not sure if that is an expectation.

3rd year in Big Law. In the final round of an interview where the total comp is still well over 200k. My firm doesn’t pay market now so it’s not a huge cut. Have experience in startups, international contracting, litigation and foreign policy. Finding it hard for someone to take my experience seriously. Ideally would like to work in-house as I have experience. I’ve interviewed with a few tech companies with global offices but nothing has progressed. Am now reluctantly sitting the bar. Any advice?

At a biglaw firm now, in the final round for a FAANG product counsel role. I just learned that one of the partners at the firm is involved in a big case adverse to the company I’m interviewing at. I have not worked on the case. Do companies run conflicts checks, do ethical walls, etc.? Could this be a problem if I get an offer?
