I think I’m going to go clothes shopping in an actual store tomorrow for the first time in forever as I have to leave the house this week. Where should I go?

🤣 I do not recommend. Never doing that again

Crowded. Time consuming. I didn’t like much. Would much rather shop from my couch!

I always buy my clothes from
Hobbs London which used to be sold in Bloomingdales. It’s smart and has some casual stuff too.

I will check this out for my return to online shopping … I have a feeling this venturing out into the world is a one time only thing 😊

What kind of clothes? Gasp… go to a mall! :) you can check out lots of stores. I went to one 3 weeks ago and was amazed! 🤣🤣🤣

I think I’m going to! So strange. But won’t have time to go every where so I’m planning my trip. 😊 the stores have changed. (I was a big online shopper for a decade or more before covid so I really haven’t been in a long time!) But I used to go to the mall every weekend 🤣

Fun! What kind of clothes are you looking for and what style do you like? (Just so I can make the proper recommendations!) :)

Thanks! I have never been in Aritzia - will add to my list

I was just wondering what your opinion was on the company Revature? I kind of wish I could do it, but I have two kids and cannot relocate. I’m just having a really hard time getting a job as an entry level front end developer. Does anyone know of a company like revature, but where you don’t have to relocate? Please let me know.

If the same company is hiring for two very similar but different positions and you qualify for both, do you apply to both? Additional caveat is that I interviewed for one of them last week. No word yet on whether I made it to the next round. Would gladly accept either position, but not sure how it would look if I apply for the second position while still being considered for the first. On the flip side, I don't want to miss the window on the second position while waiting to hear back...thoughts?

Working from home with my husband who is also a partner, makes our entire home feel like a ticking time bomb of stress. I have my own stressful events during the day but then during the downtime when I should be recuperating I hear my husband on calls that are very stressful and full of emergencies. It’s like I can’t escape it feeling the stress of two jobs at the same time. Does this make sense? Some days we do work in the office but for dominantly we work at home

Hi Boss Ladies!
I’m 32, and on the fast track to senior leadership positions w/in Investment/Finance industry. I’m thinking about getting a career coach as a sounding board to navigate the next leg (MD/EVP to Partner) in this highly competitive, very male dominated field. Has anyone here hired a career coach? Pros? Cons? What were the biggest questions you were hoping to discuss? Anyone that you would recommend? (I’m located in Boston, but very open to a virtual coach)

Had a remote member of our greater group of companies pass away suddenly last night. Will sit down with my in-person team tomorrow AM and then phone all my remote folks. They have not been closely connected directly but know of this person, on the other side of the country. It will be about letting them know, letting them react as they need, helping them have resources if they want, and being there. Honestly this is the hardest part of leading a team. Puts the rest of the stuff in perspective.
