It’s called shock doctrine. In a crisis, a company can put in policies that could never have gotten away with a normal time. Governments too of course. I can’t believe the lack of rebellion and saying no to these pay cuts. We are already the lowest paid we’ve ever been in history of the industry. We used to make the same amount of money as our clients and now we make a third at best. There needs to be a coordinated movement against these pay cuts!

Rest assured, layoffs and cut backs are coming. Yes, we use times like these for things like that. If you are an underperformed, have HR issues, get paid too much(in their eyes) and do too little(again, in their eyes), work on an account that is losing money, and at some companies- simply aren’t who they feel “are______” enough. Your name is already on a list.

I think there are plenty of cases where they were never needed at all. Just using it as an excuse to make investors / shareholders happier.

I mean, sure, they might see pay cuts, but they are not also doing three peoples jobs with less pay. They are still doing their one job.
