That's really horrible to hear...I agree with above, surely there's some kind of discrimination/nepotism going on there? Like that's a lot of undue influence to wield. But personally, if they're willing to do that, it's better you got out early!! I would start looking for something new ASAP
The owner trusts the wrong people. The PEO is only there to sell services while my job was to make the best recommendations for the company.
If they're outsourcing your function with a rep that suggests it was probably more motivated by cost. Not saying this woman didn't sow the idea/help it along, and she definitely wasn't helpful to you, but sounds like they don't have the money and outsourced your role for money. It's frustrating, but in the long run good they let you go before it got too close to the holidays, etc.
They pay the PEO a lot. They fought me on all things HR then began to "assist" with fixing our payroll issues. I came in one morning expecting them at 9 and they arrived at 8. I wasn't informed.
Oh my gosh, that is so wrong and unprofessional. I am so sorry. But I believe that terrible move will go against them in the long run because a PEO is supposed to complement the internal HR team, not replace them. And the fact that it was purely a personal motivation for them to bring the PEO in to bump you out...doesn't that go against some kind of employment law?!? I would maybe look into that or see if you were on a probation period, and what kind of course of action you could take. Or you could just say good riddance to them since it sounds like their company is about to go down the tubes and find a similar job that appreciates your hard work and dedication. You've done all you can do in this case and it's obviously their loss.
I had hoped they would be a compliment. Now, I never want to be in a situation with a PEO. Why hire me for my experience then fight what I say? Whatever she says is golden but I've proven, many times she was incorrect? SMH
It's a good thing. You don't deserve such a toxic workplace. Just let go because you are meant for something better. Like 100 times better.

If they don’t believe PEO is a valuable than they don’t deserve you you’re better off else where,
where you’re recognized for your skills.
