I thought that I wanted to explore the technology implementation and process improvement side of things. So, I left B4 Audit less than a year ago to take a Business Analyst role at a smaller firm. I realized I had jumped too deep into the software development side of things, and the role turned out to be pure project management over product development.

I’m wanting to make a move back into the finance and accounting world. Any advice on “boomeranging”? Will this make me look bad resume?

Hi my IBM sharks 👋🏻

Has anyone being on bench received automated mails from RoBoT_System@xxx.mail.ibm.com and been told something like this-
"This is in continuation of the multiple e-mails on the subject, right since you were 45 days away from your last assignment closure date.  We expect that you understand your personal responsibility to get assigned to a relevant project within IBM, and also expect that you take steps to achieve the same"

Is this something to be worried about?

Leaders, Could you share your thoughts, that you are willing and able to share, regarding:
1. How are your clients viewing post-Covid in-office work?
2. How do you think expectations for face-to-face work and travel (and the associated expenses) will change for your teams based on client expectations?
3. What are the views of your teams re: willingness / eagerness to travel?

Ladies, I agreed to get take on a project with a hybrid travel schedule but after kicking it off, my SM is expecting a lot more travel than a few workshops. Full 3 nights, some back to back weeks, and every 3 weeks for sure. He’s also expecting co-location in between… how did we get here overnight? Also I have kids and honestly can’t put this kind of pressure on my spouse - pickups/drop offs, dinners etc. it’s just not fair on our family. How do I manage his expectations?

Hey, I'm a tech consultant with 1.5years experience. I am trying to do some career planning before the new year and I've narrowed down to 3 potential roles, in no particular order; Business Analyst, Product Manager or Software Developer.

My current role has such varied daily tasks I find it hard to become an expert because of this and this worries me for future career ops.

Are these viable roles for me to move to based on my current role?

What should I do to make a career change plan?

I prefer working for what is offered on contract without negotiating, and then negotiate when I transition into the company itself so I have a better chance of getting the contract position and show my skills.
