They might have done an Auto Compare in Word to be sure all changes were tracked.
You’re getting worked up over a boiler plate memo. No senior manager out there is trying to “take credit” for doing an awesome job updating a form template.
Wtf. I’m a senior manager and I can’t imagine wasting my time to do that or why I would want to hide that my staff did the work. It’s called leveraging.
Par for the course.
Rude
Sometimes it will change if you are working on an unsaved copy and then you save it. Like if you open it from an email and start to work on it and then save it to your hard drive.
Dang yo, that’s cold
Who cares
No way senior manager changed them manually. Must have been through comparison or something
The single s deletion vs the whole word deletion and then adding an s is a personal setting in word. He might have accidentally used the clean version rather than the tracked changes version, made edits to it and then realized that it didn’t show all the tracked changes and did a compare before he sent to the partner. Why would you send two versions to him? He doesn’t need a clean version...
Yeah. That's stupid. The Sr Manager 'owns' it, regardless of who actually did the work. They might as well let everyone bask in the glory that is your memo, instead of hoarding it, like a fat Swiss child would with chocolate.
I wish it wasn't true senior manager 1 ^... but I literally checked one by one and some of them are not exactly the same as the way I sent to him... i.e my tracked changed version deleted an "s", his version deleted the whole word and re-typed the word without an "s"... you don't think he did everything manually???
Plus I sent him the original template,a tracked change version and a clean version accepted all changes... why would he do another round of random comparison?
Did the SM use your version of it or did they create their own?
