Can someone refer me to another company?
US Military Inc.
Hello! I’m new to fishbowl and wanted to make my first post. I’m currently in the process of transitioning out of the Air Force and looking for a skillbridge opportunity in project management, preferably located in Tampa, Florida. A few companies I have on my list are Accenture, Raytheon Technologies Corporation and JPMorgan Chase What are everyone’s thoughts on those companies and how military friendly they really are?

Heard it all the time in the Army Infantry
I used it when creating briefs as a “if you are going to fall asleep please get this sound byte before you go”
I was Army, we used it all the time
I had to google it.
Bottom Line Up Front for others wondering
Navy for reference
It’s hyper prevalent on joint staffs. I hadn’t heard it either until I did a gig in CENTCOM and then I was expected to use it on every status report.
Also Navy.
Air Force. We used it all the time too
Was in the Army and heard it in every briefing
Army, never heard it until I went to a Brigade HQ unit 17 years into my career, then all the time (also enlisted, so maybe more an officer thing?)
All the time in the Army.
Never heard it because you were Navy…. 😂.
Jk GO ARMY!

I miss this ish sometimes

I was in back in the Stone Age and we didn’t all get .mil email addresses back then; I never encountered the term till I started doing consulting projects for the Navy. Saw it in email all the time after that.
Seabees version of TL;DR. And USAF.
100s of times/day.
- Navy (Joint & NSW)
Used it plenty in the Marines
It was taught to me in the Marines for presentations
I would only use it if you’re in a C-suite type meeting and/or your one of the most senior ppl in the room. It sets the tone of a meeting. If you’re an E-6 (work group manager) in a meeting with O-4s (heads of department) and above, it’s like jumping into a shark tank with an open wound. It’s like saying “in case you didn’t know this is the most important point of agenda for the meeting…”
K, its been a while since I've been in what does this mean though" bottom line up front " how is it useful? I'm being serious. Spent 6 years in never heard it.

It's the same idea as The Pyramid Principle (see Barbara Minto).
Very common / preferred in American business. It doesn't always work well in some cultures, but in the US it's seen as more efficient.
I've been in the Army now for 19.5 yrs it's used more as an idea in my job as PSYOP. BLUF to the commander we are supporting. Capabilities of what a PSYOP team can do. Or just sprinkle a little fairy dust on your briefs to get the desired outcome. Either way.
Air Force. We use it a lot
