I just came out of a pretty long “down phase” myself and found that baby steps were the best way back. I prefer being active in the mornings, so the first small step was getting to bed at a decent time consistently. If you give “laying in bed and listening to the fan” a purpose to get more sleep, it becomes a good habit/goal. Next step for me, wake up early and drink a bottle of water (forced me out of bed to use the bathroom). Next just get to the gym. Don’t try to do what you did before when “very active”. Just go and walk a bit, do a few pushups, etc. Eventually, these small steps should turn back into habits hopefully.

I started doing workouts in my living room. Getting dressed and going to the gym was too much, but I found I could manage putting a blanket down and doing some Pilates.
Start small, try going for walks if you can. I also highly recommend doing non-traditional workout activities like rock climbing, or group classes.

Just sharing my post here for you. There were some really great responses :)
Definitely agree with the baby steps. +1 also for group classes or trying to find other activities that will get you excited. Being signed up for something and being held accountable really helps.
Also, don't be so hard on yourself. If you are feeling anxious and like you're drowning, that is OK. Take a sick day to fully let yourself be lazy and lie in bed and deal with the anxiety without the guilt. Use it as an opportunity to reset.
Look into potentially talking to someone as well. These could be larger issues that you might need help working through. Dealing with similar things myself and am starting to look into therapy as an option.
Good luck 🙏🏻
Thank you 💙
Agree with the previous comments- start with small steps. Is something bothering you at work or at home?
I just feel that I can’t catch up with anything and my anxiety is becoming overwhelming. I feel that I’m
Functioning non stop without catching my breath to think and everything is just beginning to blur together
Thank you for this, I will deff take these ideas and try to apply them. It’ll deff feel rough but baby steps and not super highs expectations is what I need to stick to.💙
