I had one manager from U.K at my previous firm. He had such a debt that he was barely be able to pay. So he asked for a transfer to another country as accepted by the firm. As early as he moved he stopped paying for his debt and began doing MBA.

Do you mind my asking why you want the MBA? I'm not here to judge whatever the reason(s) may be. But the reality is that an MBA can be a ludicrously expensive experience-the top-tier American programs often have an all-in cost of $400-$500K, once you account for lost earnings-even if the ROI makes sense. This isn't to dissuade you, but in my experience, anyone considering an MBA should have a clear reason for doing so (even if that reason is personal and intangible). Otherwise, the costs in time and money will burden anyone. And if you're already struggling with debt, well, that doesn't make the conversation any less important.

Strategy& Ops - Pharma / Life Sciences vs. ZS Associates - Strategy Insights & Planning Consultant Coming in out of an MBA program. ZS is out of the Philly office and pays a little bit less but friends and family are there. Also connected with interviewers better here. Strategy& is out of Houston office, which is where I’d rather be and homes are cheaper. However, interviewers didn’t connect as well but I’m not sure how representative that is. Would appreciate any input

Hey fam. Appreciate your inputs on this: I used to be a software developer and currently work as a tech risk consultant (CISA, CRISC certified). Have completed a couple of cyber courses but do not have prior cyber experience. Most cyber sec job postings require prior experience in cloud, aws, devops etc. Applied to a couple of roles but no avail. A) Can I start a career in cyber security without prior experience? B) Will CISSP or relevant cyber certifications help?

26M, making $150k base at a healthcare startup doing strategy. Also about to finish a part time masters (non-MBA), and planning to find new roles after that. I took the gmat back in 2017 (710) and realize that if I don’t apply this year for an MBA I’d have to retake the test. Do you think an MBA would be helpful to advance my career at this point assuming I stay the course in healthcare? Is an executive mba in a few years a better move? Is a 710 good enough to apply to top 10 schools? TIA!

For those of you that left big 4 accounting to do MBA, did you leave at Senior level (3-4 YOE) or at the Manager level (5 YOE). I would assume to leave at manager level would be more ideal as when you come back to the workforce you should at the very least be ready to come in at manager or above at your next job? Thoughts?
