No VPs on the marketing team currently. SF based company. Offered 180. Seems low (and a pay cut from current role). Any thoughts on this? Appreciate the help!
CEO from a good start-up messages me on LI saying I come highly recommended for a role they're headhunting and wants to jump on a call. I'm happy with where I am at but want to keep the relationship warm. How should I proceed? Do I accept the call, or straight up say "no thank you not for me"?

Hello, to the Fishbowl Community! Been a financial analyst at a big bank for about 8 months now. Currently in a middle market position analyzing companies and underwriting credit memos, etc. that kind of work. Career trajectory looks like FA>Credit analyst>Portfolio Manager/relationship manager, then senior leadership. Looking to move from commercial banking side of things and explore a role in Investment banking in a couple years. Anyone in here done something similar? Is it feasible? Tips?

Hoping to get some thoughts on career path? I left an agency about 1.5 years ago (content manager and prev social) to go in house (copywriter). Long story short, agency wants to offer me a senior director role. However, this isn't client facing and would be marketing for the agency itself. I left to focus on writing. I love the company where I'm at now. The agency is small compared to my current company, but the title could be helpful later. Thoughts?
With the office opening back up I've been meeting up with coworkers for a few drinks over the last couple of weeks and I just got a positive test 😳😳. We were open to having a baby but didn't think it would happen so quickly so I was having up to 3 drinks when I went out. Meeting with my OB tomorrow but would appreciate any words of wisdom in the meantime

A senior hr business partner, working in a reputed company with unorganised work culture, it's taking 15 hours a day to manage the responsibility. Is that means I'm incapable to do it? Senior people please throw me some insights.
Considering an expert role in healthcare in mid Atlantic region at McKinsey. Any thoughts about culture, wlb, tc, etc? Have read through a bunch of older threads. Opinion seems mixed. Negatives mentioned include more intense work hours than integrative track, second class citizen, slower career progression, lower pay than integrative, harder to get staffed on engagements, poor integration into teams, and subpar exit opportunities. Also read this is changing. Would appreciate recent thoughts. 🙏
Planning a bridal shower / bachelorette party weekend for my elder sister (she’s 28). She wants to have it in NYC, which is where she and I live. I’m thinking bridal shower at Union Square Cafe or some other fancy restaurant Saturday morning, bachelorette party Saturday night (but no idea where), and then casual goodbye brunch at my parent’s place on Sunday AM. Her friends would fly in Friday or Saturday morning. Have never done this so need all the advice / suggestions! Thank you!

I’m 36, earn 100k and I work maybe 30 hours a week, and I’m a shining star. It allows me to enjoy life without stress. I can linger around and see myself (slowly) climbing the ladder. But part of me wants to put in hard work and grow a lot in my career and earn more for a stable financial future, but it means I’ve got to work more and stress more and I’m worried I won’t get time to relax and enjoy my life as before. But also I’m worried I’ll slack off. Anyone going through this? Would I regret?
Any partner willing to share with fb what their comp is? If so, please provide your service line, years as a partner and if you feel comfortable, your firm

I truly feel I can never take off. I’m out of office for the next week taking a bar exam and then going on a well needed vacation. After studying and taking another bar. However I’m still getting emails and meetings. So far I have 2 calls this week and I’m out of office.
