How do I pivot from a broker to any job in tech?
I'm curious what the average salary is for an Associate Agent. I'm licensed & do everything after the sale is made as well as refer new business. I have 14 years in the industry but have been at the current company less than a year, so I know that plays a part as well. Anyone in a like-position by chance?State Farm Allstate Travelers

I would not risk volunteering this info during interviews. Do not disclose this even when you get the verbal offer. Wait until you have the written offer in hand to discuss.
I personally wouldn’t say anything. Unless this role is senior leadership they can make necessary arrangements for coverage
I would consider waiting to take leave. Dad’s aren’t that useful immediately with the baby. If you’re internal, then presumably you’re WFH and at least not traveling. My wife and I are splitting it up so I’ll take my leave once she’s done with maternity.
If you wait, then it’s also less of an immediate thing with new the role
There’s a big difference between being out of country and working from home. Also different if you have a child already. If the mother is breastfeeding, dads are primarily there to cook, clean, and take the baby 50% of the time when the baby is not sleeping/feeding (which is like 2-4 hours during a given day). All of that can be done 80% effectively while working (cooking breakfast and dinner before/after work, cleaning, taking the baby in the morning and evenings plus during breaks if WFH).
ultimately paternity leave is a limited resource and you have to choose if it makes sense to overlap parental leaves or make them consecutive.
I should caveat that the first two weeks you need to both be there.
Since it's internal, that is a good conversation to have with your lead/manager. I think it depends on your company culture and whether internal moves are publicized and encouraged. If it's a hush-hush topic, it might be better not to disclose it at all, or maybe after you've been selected.
I took a week off when my kid was born. I took parental leave starting when they were about 10 weeks (overlapped 2 weeks with the end of my wife's leave).
No need to bring it up. I would suggest you don't. You are actually doing them a favorite by not bringing it up. It is illegal to discriminate due to family. So this would fall under that. If they pulled your offer, plenty of lawyers 😝 will be lining up to represent you.
