I want to brush up and improve my programming language skills (i.e. Python, R, JavaScript, etc.), does anyone have any recommendations for good resources to use? I know there are a ton out there. Also, which languages are most important to learn for finance and fintech?

Python is definitely your best bet. Coursera has some great courses/certificates for Python. I'd say it's the most important for fintech.

I have a quandary to share. My work exp has been tech heavy, starting as a software developer for 8 years; outgrew that. Then for the last 4 years, DevOps, specializing in the Cloud, IaC and GitOps. The tech parts (sans human) feel empty sometimes, and I want to try out transitioning into product. As DevOps, I have loved my share of helping internal customers (dev teams) as well as being an advisor. I love unsticking people. Is it possible to market that for job desc that asks for mgmt exp?

Could use some perspective from folks here! I joined as in-house counsel from V20 recently. When I interviewed for the position, the hiring manager explained the team structure and broadly gave me a career path in the company. The day I joined I learned of a long term secondee who’s around my same level that they’re planning on bringing in with the exact same job description as me. I feel extremely frustrated and had I known this before joining, I might have made a different decision. Contd.

Partners (or anyone else that has sold work), at what level did you first sell work? Was selling work even expected of you at that level? And how did you go about it? Recent graf looking to transition from my current sales role (purely operational) to a more creative/strategic role that involves public speaking/facilitation. Have some experience in sales development (mainly business development & strategic advice to C-level), branding/marketing, facilitation (as a side-job) and working with content creators.

I’m new to this space so not sure about what kind of roles there are?

Anybody go from cyber consulting (assessment based/cyber maturity/incident response plan) to a more technical role? Just worried about finding a technical role when all my experience is self taught and home lab based.
