I have received top ratings throughout my career thus far and it’s my ambition to make it to partner one day. Will the lack of a prestigious MBA deter me ? Interviewing for an assistant underwriting job, I meet all requirements except for knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. I minored in forensic science so I’m familiar with medical terminology/anatomy but unsure if this will make or break my interview, they might be looking for medical professionals? Position has been up for over a year as they are unable to find a qualified candidate. Any advice?

You’re back in college studying design — what’s something you would do knowing what you know now having worked in the industry?

Hi everyone…we currently hired a “marketing assistant” who has no degree or experience in marketing or design. I’m being asked to train them, their background is retail so they’re not even familiar with basic corporate programs (Microsoft & outlook). Is it wrong to be offended? 😂 I’ve being studying graphic design since HS, my degree is Visual communications/graphic design. Now I’m being asking to just “show them” how to use the creative suite for graphics!!

Looking to pivot my career into Graphic + Web Design! I created a Learning Roadmap to plan out the things I need to teach myself in order to master the basics & start taking on clients.

1. Learn fundamentals of Graphic Design & Design Theory (I have a couple books I’m reading & courses I will take)
2. Learn Figma bc it is an advanced design tool/software (I only know Canva)
3. Learn Webflow as it is the premier web-designing platform (I only know Wix)

Is this a good start? Do I need Adobe? Ty
