Sometimes when I want to order something from Uber eats. I scroll and scroll to find something I like. Then I try to figure out what else to get since I cant just get 1 dish.
Sometimes by the time I figure it out it's too late. And restaurant doesn't deliver any more or its just too late in general.
I think Costco had a good idea to limit choices so we don't get overwhelmed. Paradox of choice is a book that talks about that same topic. Having more choices may actually not be better.
We can hold 7(+ or - 2) numbers/words/letters whatever in our heads and remember them. This might explain the paradox of choice, but it sounds like you need a ranked master list of stuff you want to do and make your way down the list. Similarly, you can set up incentives or punishments for yourself for (not) doing those things
I was literally just thinking this. I wrote myself a to-do list this weekend and all I did was manage to cook a good meal
Update: this meal turned out not-so-good 😭😭
It really makes me wish for a 4-day work week. That extra day to actually get stuff done while being able to take days to recharge is much needed. I think we all need days to rest up and do nothing for our mental/emotional well-being, but that makes it difficult to do anything productive outside of our day-jobs, unless one is very disciplined and motivated.

And this is in a remote working environment, it was way worst when we were traveling. I felt like I had 1.5 days to myself. Saturday, and half of Sunday. Sunday 5pm I would start packing, checking-in for flight, confirming hotel bookings, checking calendar for the week, etc etc. then catching a 6am flight Monday AM
Weekdays loves you😻
Need a 4 day week. Fri you vegetate or zone out, then do stuff on Sat - 0.5 Sun before the scaries hit late on Sunday

Thank you and glad I'm not alone in this predicament. For folks who shared tips and experiences, thank you. Let me spend the rest of the weekend being anxious that the clock's ticking to the weekday.
Pro tip - make a list and put the easiest ones upfront. Then knock those off an use the momentum to scale the rest of the list..
