I want to find a finance job in Europe that pays at least $100k USD but all of the postings are either half of this amount.. or will reject my application. Any thoughts on good companies to go to as a financial analyst? I’d be willing to go around $80k if it meant relocating. I have about 3 years of experience.

Seems like your application is the issue. No way to advise on that w/o seeing your resume

Thanks for the feedback, happy to connect 1:1

Job postings are not the way to get a job that actually pays well. Those roles fill up, they don’t need to advertise job postings. Need to apply warm. Reach out to recruiters, leverage your network, do coffee chats, get people to refer you, etc.

And then in terms of jobs that would actually pay that well, it’ll be roles like FP&A, strategic finance, corporate development at a large f500 or a major tech company. And will likely need to be in London since comp drops dramatically in other geographies.

Would they offer such a high salry, though? I think pay in Europe is much lower compared to US.

PMs, what's a good book about coding? Left analytics to do a CS degree to better understand engineering before moving to product side. Have to do a book report for a SWE class, can propose a book.

Two on my shelf I've been putting off anyway are The DevOps Handbook (writing style is 💤) and Clean Code (lol, but maybe there's more appropriate). Wondering what the community would recommend, maybe something more release process focused? Can't go full product focused cause it's still a SWE class.

I graduated with my MBA in finance in 2020 and began working at a bank as a Management Trainee. 2 years later, I am an assistant to a financial advisor studying to become a financial advisor. However, I have to do this on MY time and not the bank's.
I am not in a Management position, I make as much as a teacher in a good district and I just don't feel my overall self worth at this job. Does anyone have any advice that can help this situation?

I have offers from both United Health Group and Atlassian for a Senior Financial Analyst position. Similar Comp (Atlassian slightly higher due to stock options). Coming from another healthcare company as a SFA, does anyone have experience at either company? In the long term, does Atlassian look better on a resume/work experience due to the Tech/Software space? Seems like their culture is great, but a much higher work load due to the nature of the company. Thanks! Happy to answer DM's too

I work in accounting/finance and have been at my company for over 10 years. I am planning to leave and put in my notice right after I receive my bonus which is right around when “busy season” starts. Unfortunately more than half of my annual income comes from my bonus. I feel terrible about this because it will cause my team to work extra hours during a busy time, but the company is toxic. Any tips? I don’t want to burn bridges with the non-toxic folks.

Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.
