Foreman tattoos are 🔥 if you have nice forearms. Even more so with a nice rolled up dress shirt on an otherwise clean cut guy 🥵
And there’s nothing wrong with it professionally. This isn’t 1950s Iowa

I have a few chest tats and in the summer, you can glimpse it.
And on a extra hot day if I’m wearing white, you can see the outline of all of the remaining ones elsewhere too.
No one really cares and if they do, it doesn’t matter. That way of thinking is antiquated anyways.
Obviously some clients are sketch about it so use your best judgement to cover up if needed but otherwise, ride the wave big dawg.

I have tattoos on the underside of each wrist that I got at 18 and I’ve given up trying to hide them 🙃😂
I think it’s 🔥 when guys have forearm tattoos. Also when guys roll their button down sleeves 🥵
Lol I’ll echo what MWE1 said. I am almost exclusively attracted to guys with tattoos though.
I honestly don’t even bother hiding them in interviews anymore. I’m already stressed enough about the interview without worrying about the tattoo too. I did the interview for the role I have now with 3/4 rolled sleeves and I tend to talk just as much with my hands as my mouth. It’s a client facing role with 2 level promotion too.
I wear long sleeves to cover my sleeve. 🤷♀️
I get that. I also exited to tech so lots of people have tattoos here but I never hid them in consulting either.
Do you WANT to work for a company w execs that would look down to you about this? I get it but tattoos are very common these days. There are plenty of companies out there that don't care

Are you planning to wear "wife beaters" to work, esp to meetings with executives?

Wife beaters just sounds funnier 😂😂😂

I have forearm tattoos. It's generally fine. I might wear a jacket or long sleeve shirt if I don't know the team/client.
Beyond that I'm in t-shirts and no one cares beyond "sick tattoos!"
Interesting that you edited to add that you’re male. Honest question, not attacking you: do you think gender matters in this conversation? As a woman with tattoos, who keeps them covered, I’m genuinely curious if you think people look at men and women differently when it comes to tattoos.

Added male because I agree with others - l I think women unfortunately get judged more for having them
I know many men who have this in big law and it’s a non issue as long as the image isn’t provocative

I know a partner in my old firm who had a whole sleeve. He did for the most part wore long sleeve shirts in the office but I would see him right after work at CrossFit and he would be shirtless showing it all 😂🤣

Maybe this is splitting hairs a bit, but I think there is room to be concerned. Personally, I don’t judge anyone for them. But, if I were interviewing someone with a tattoo on their forearm, I’d have a conversation about it to the point of making sure the applicant is okay with wearing long sleeves to cover it up as needed. My concern isn’t that I personally care, but some clients might. Whether the clients are unfairly judgmental is a different discussion. But, I don’t think a business or team leader is wrong to want to make sure they can be covered for the sake of meeting expectations for paying customers. That said, I think you’re fine as long as you’re okay wearing long sleeves on occasion.
