You're just trying to start a war with this questions. It's like asking apple or android. Everyone has their opinion so it's best to just do research and pick what works for you.

Best travel card is chase sapphire preferred !! Not specific to an airline or hotel but you can use the points to book travel on most airlines .

Always always go with a reward program that maximizes hotel stays since hotels are MUCH more expensive that flights. By simply flying you'll earn your FF points to cover flights.

I'd rather rough it in coach for a few hours but stay at the St Regis for a few nights...

Sapphire is good. I have delta reserve because it gives you 20K MQM's a year, plus club access

Just like everything else in consulting, it depends--- do your research based on your habits: nerdwallet.com/credit-cards/

AMEX Gold Rewards - my corporate AMEX puntos grow nicely with my Gold Rewards puntos. CSP is solid as well. Just do one or the other when a signup bonus is good.

I guess the point is if you're tall and adventurous, you want a program that gives you airline miles. But if you're average height (adventure appetite high or low), you probably care about a program that maximizes hotel points. Mck1 can calm down now.

more pretentious, too

But then arent you tied to delta's program?

Sapphire. Worth it.

Citi thank you premier has 3X points on all travel related expenses

AMEX Evocati

SPG Amex. With delta crossover.

Disclaimer: at D, I can no longer use the SPG Amex.

sapphire is the best. then amex delta. then chased United. between those 3 cards, I barely pay for travel.

Easy D-2. That's only true if your vacations are domestic. Some of us like to travel internationally where business and first class flights cost orders of magnitude more than hotels.

Not telling you how to run your programs, just saying your advice isn't universal. I'm 6'4" and I also can't sleep in a sitting position. When I fly to India, First Class is a game changer for how enjoyable my trip is. I'd rather have a $16,000 flight for free and enjoy the 32 hours I'll be spending in the air & stay at cheap hotels and AirBnBs as I only use my vacation to get out and explore and only use my hotels to sleep.
