Yup. Didn’t turn out to be my cup of tea, but I can see it being a great move for some. Happy to chat if you want to shoot me a DM.

My last agency lay-off was due to multiple clients going in-house. Like the saying goes: if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em. It was a good move for me. Less political. Fewer approval layers. And I’m doing work I enjoy. But like all agencies aren’t the same, it applies here too. Do your homework and see if it’s a corporate environment you want to be in.

I just got laid off. Actively on a project, level 10 S&C, chargability at 85% but almost 8 percent recoverable on top of that. Have to look for a job now. Anyone hiring? Thanks all! I’ve had a great time here!

Looking to get started freelancing in NY. Small portfolio, mostly a mix of spec and client work. What’s the best place to start?

Not everyday, but some days, I genuinely love this job. When the client appreciates the overtime you put into banners, it doesn’t even matter if your kids and ex-wife won’t talk to you anymore.

What would you do if other SM comes to tell you she/he prefers directly engaging with the client when the opportunity brought to his attention by you and you has the relationship with the client?

Help! Applying to a job and one of the only real requirement is to show how I’m “adept at understanding client needs, and designing and implementing creative solutions”. My issue is I work in risk advisory and most of our client engagements don’t actually involve implementation. We usually present our findings and recommendations and move on. What’s the best way I can tackle this? I’m coming up blank and the deadline is soon.

Need a suit recommendation in the $500-800 price range. I got a couple Jos A Banks suits tailored when I was an intern, and they served me fine for that purpose, but haven’t upgraded since because I hardly ever needed one. I’m not going to need a suit for office-wear anytime soon, but would like at least one nice, versatile suit for weddings and receptions, etc. My size has changed since college, so I’ll need to get measured. I’m not in a major city, but will be in Boston and DC fairly often.

I graduated June 2019, started full-time September 2019 and I feel like I have been so bad with tracking, saving, and overall being responsible with my money. My savings amount has been pretty stagnant for as long as I remember and I don't do any "investing" apart from contributing to my 401K and making HSA contributions. Can't help but feel like I'm behind everyone and don't know how to get myself out of this rut feeling. Any tips for how to turn myself around (i.e. creating budget, etc.)?

I'm 24 and living at home with my family on a $60K salary. Due to living at home, I've been able to dollar cost average a big sum into ETFs every month. Over the past year and a half, I've been able to put away $50K between my emergency fund and brokerage account. However, I'm starting to think about moving out. Thoughts on renting vs buying at this age and now? Is it better to keep putting large amounts into ETFs or should I start saving for a down payment? Thank you!
