How many vacation and sick leave given in LTI?
Hey folks. Lets get this bowl more active!
I recently bought an in ice cream shop and the hours works perfectly with my day job. The shop opens at 4pm to 9pm (10pm during weekends). Ice cream shops is way easier to manage than a restaurant. This gives me about 50k extra income in a year pretax and I bought this only for $68k. You dont want to buy now if you are in colder region. But if you are in the sunbelt, go for it.
If you pick up 1-2 bartending/shifts a week at the right place it can be an extra 600-1000 a week
I was thinking of doing bottle service - I’ve heard those girls make bank 💰
If you’re good at thrifting then you should find clothing andlist them on Poshmark, Etsy, Mercari, & eBay. I say stick to light weight products which will enable you to ship first class Mail so you don’t spend too much money on shipping/packaging.
Also list the same product across all marketplaces. This will help you expand product exposure and it will help you get rid of the products faster.
If you love thrifting, start by reselling things you know would have value to others.
For me, I primarily thrifted for video games, as a collector and now reseller. That market has become very dry nowadays. I branched into vintage electronics and clothes, as I also shopped for both. When I find something neat enough at a good price, I'll pick it up to resell.
Start with what you know. What do you look for when thrifting? Clothes? If so, when you find something that's nice but not your size, buy it, and resell. Read books? Look for new releases. Movie buff? Look for the niche limited release movies. Decor? Pyrex, Corningware, and Tupperware are big resellers. Plushies ALWAYS sell when you find brand name-- Disney anything.
Take your phone out and search marketplace apps to get an idea of SOLD prices (important! Don't go by the buy it now price, but what they've sold for.
Also, go through the electronics and kitchen appliances. Search the model numbers by sold listings.
Everyone that buys used is thrifty in their own way. Where one person may turn their nose up at buying, for example, a used pressure cooker, someone else would rather pay $50 for a top brand used model rather than $100-$200 new.
In short-- start with what you know is good. Step two, when you don't know, search ebay sold listings, right there in the store.
Branch out to yard sales, estate sales, and flea markets too. There is where you'll find the best deals.
Sorry, reread your post-- start with clothes, and go early when the doors open!
See if there is a Goodwill Outlet near you. They are commonly referred to as the "bins." They're not for the faint of heart, but you can make A LOT of money at them. Look up Goodwill bins on YouTube and you'll find plenty of tutorials. Best of luck!
24k short for this year? So essentially you’re trying to make $8000 each month for the remainder of year. Based on the info you’ve provided that’s more than you make at your 9-5 each month (assuming your 24k deficiency already accounts for your full salary). I say try to maximize the holidays. If you’re down for retail - try to get a job at a department store and pick up extra holiday shifts.
I think it’ll be hard to earn 8k a month period when beginning a side hustle. Perhaps a combination of multiple things would be the best approach.
Im in your exact situation
Bartending?
I can't guarantee you'd make that much money, but for a side hustle it's decent money. I do brand ambassador work for liquor tastings. You pick your own shift and they are usually 2-3 hours long. You often get to keep the booze and it pays $25-$35/hr.
It depends on what you think is good, but it's better than a minimum wage job....
Depends where you live... I would Google brand ambassador agencies in your area. Facebook also has brand ambassador groups for each major metropolitan area.
