I want to learn guitar but don’t see how I’ll be able to practice regularly with travel... I feel like weekends won’t be enough to really get the hang of it. Anybody tried this before or have advice?

On a couple of long term projects, I actually bought a used guitar in my client city and left it at the hotel over the weekend. Then I would either sell it or donate it to a school when I rolled off.

like

I rent an instrument at my client cities and leave it with the hotel front desks on the weekends. Pwc even lets me expense it. Definitely possible to make it work.

like

There are traveler guitars, you could do it.

☝️ The ultimate guitar app is really helpful. It will scroll down the tab automatically, so you can just keep playing.

I have it worse with the piano. Miss playing it so much 😞

All great ideas. If I had a long term project I’d probably consider renting or buying a guitar and keeping it at the hotel. Use ultimate-guitar.com for learning, it’s an awesome resource

I've got a Martin Backpacker which I love. Very compact. I have yet to take it with me to the client site but I'm sure it's possible.

D1 Exactly! Makes it so much easier. Well worth the $6.99. OP - I would also play along with songs to work on time and tempo. And just be aware that it can be frustrating at first but the learning curve is exponential if you stick with it long enough

Really great to know - thanks all!
@P1, how do you expense your rental (what code)? Do you need approval from anyone?

@OP I charge it under "Health Club Fees," since everyone else gets $75/month for a gym membership but me. But it goes to my market team's WBS so I would figure out the situation in your team, and definitely ask your partner for approval first

Hi all,
I’ve recently transitioned from Travel Customer Service role (8 YOE) to Analyst in the same LOB. Earlier I resolved travel queries through calls/emails, but now my role is to analyse travel spending on Amex cards. Now I want to remain in analysis field and grow. I currently only use SQL, Power-BI and MS-Suite. What should I learn further? Which tools or is there a course I should do? I’ve only done Graduation and thinking of doing PGDM in Data Analytics or BI.
Any suggestions?

Looking for a nice looking, sturdy, comfortable to carry travel duffel with a cross body strap. I always travel with my Louis Vuitton Keepall 55 bandoulière as a carry on, with mainly my shoes and handbags in it - but i took her in to LV for a repair and due to supply issues she will sadly not be back in time for my trip to Italy in September. (The repair may take 10 months, WTF!) I would appreciate any recommendations, and would love for it to be similar in size to the Keepall 55.

They stated 120k+ is extremely high for that role. What do you guys think? Playing the game?

I really just roamed the streets with my friends. Straight A student who had some after school stuff. It would hit 5 pm or a day when the programs didnt meet, we didn't have a space to be social.

My friend who I have known for 10 years recently became really weird about paying me back for things and I’m not sure how to handle it. We went to a group dinner and everyone paid me back but her, I assumed she forgot and let it go. We went out to grab a drink yesterday, I had one glass of wine, she had 3 cocktails and then ordered a meal, when the bartender asked how we wanted to split the check she quickly said “you can just split it evenly”. I ended up paying $55 for my glass of wine (cont)
