Whatever method/software/program you decide on, it'll be important to keep practicing, especially with someone who can correct you in person. Some methods are asking a fluent person to converse w/ you once/wk through a call, in person, or even online methods. Just a tip

Honestly, best method is to sleep with the dictionary. Find a Spanish / French partner!

Duolingo, practicing with friends, and watching movies in that language

☝🏼

I know there are free language apps like duolingo. I’ve also heard good things about Rosetta Stone, but never used it myself.

Another option would be to see if you can enroll in a class in your area. It does help to speak it amongst other fluent people. In-person class is how I learned some American Sign Language as it was being offered at a nearby church.

After social distancing is done of course :)

Hi! I took German in school for a total of 5 years and then spent a summer over there living with a host family. I felt like I gained a sense of fluency during that time- as in I could order food, buy train tickets, have a normal conversation without really thinking about it, but obviously had a ways to go before I would actually call myself fluent.

I did DuoLingo a little bit to try to maintain, but I didn’t find it super helpful for me. I just downloaded the Babbel app for French, because I figured I could try that during quarantine. So far it seems to be better for learning than DuoLingo, as in it has you practice verb conjugations and what not.

Long story short: Learning a new language isn’t easy. I’d honestly say the quickest way would be to go to a language school in France or Spain.

I can try teaching you as well OP!

There are courses in EY Learning. I’m going to check them out.

Try a language school in Spain/ Colombia / France. Not now but when things get better.

I went to CLIC in Spain and highly recommend. They have three campuses in Seville, Cadiz and Malaga. Cost is about $200 per week. 4 hours per day for 5 days. Awesome experience!

Duolingo for now, 2- or 3-week immersion in Latin America later.

Muzzy - top notch 👌🏻

Anyone find themselves interrupting too much? I tend to get excited when talking with friends or about something I'm passionate about, and I occasionally will totally interrupt someone (unintentionally) when I get too into it. No one has mentioned it to me but I've caught a few looks from friends when it happens, and I'd like to work on it just for the sake of being polite. Advice?

I run a temp agency but I'm consistently being mistreated and only gross under 68k. My current duties are: Contracting, Invoicing, Bills & Payments, (some) Tax prep, HR, Employer Relations, Managing Vehicles, Insurances, Business registrations, Correcting payroll, Legal, Onboarding paperwork, Finances, etc.
I know I'm not valued or protected there, but without a degree I don't know what I can do. Any thoughts?
