I want to learn to ask for what I want at work re: salary, opportunities to work on projects that grow skill sets versus only using the skills I was hired for. I want to feel like my voice is heard when I have an idea or solution. But I find that culturally I’ve been fighting this mental space that says don’t make waves, work hard because it’s the right thing to do. I read the books, listen to the Ted talks but still find my voice easily silenced. Advice?

Currently 6 years at job A at 100K and 10K annual bonus but lil to no upward mobility. It's safe if not going anywhere.

Recruiter reached out regarding Job B at 130K with greater advancement potential but it starts out at 6 Months Contract to Hire per the agency contract. No bonus, benefits adequate by comparison. There is no guarantee to go full time.

Can anyone give me insight into PwC IFS? I have five years of previous B4 experience and two years of industry experience. I am considering PwC IFS. I realize there are some limitations with IFS (raises, promotions, etc.); however, it is still B4 and could be another great launching point.

The offer is good and the salary is fair (even though I won't get much in raises) and the benefits are good, so I think it would be good for three years before I started getting restless.
