I want to leave audit to go into FP&A at a private company in the future. Is 1 year as a Senior Audit Associate enough experience to get a Senior Analyst position?

Yes. An extra year in audit will not necessarily service you to be more qualified for FP&A.

like

Dependent on your experience. But generally I would say yes it’s enough

Completely depends on size of the company but generally quite rare to go from audit to senior analyst in FP&A. It is more likely that you have a better shot at applying to FP&A analyst roles that are looking for individuals with 1-2 years of general finance/big 4 accounting background

Crowe is hiring for quite a few positions across the US (Internal Audit, IT controls and cyber/digital security, Compliance, etc)… I’m a manager and would think some of these niche areas have great opportunity for new folks to excel rather quickly. Great flexibility and mobility policies. I’d be happy to chat if interested and get you directly in touch with the right people internally.

Currently interviewing for a designer role at Tesla - wanted some advice. The hiring manager has seemed uninterested and always dropped off interviews early and without answering any of my questions. He also mentioned that he's lost 4 designers from the team recently (red flag!). I think it'd be a cool role, but it sounds like I'd be the only designer and there's not a ton of support, BUT if I do well - lots of room for growth and promotion. Plus internal transfers after a year also an option?

Parents turn 70 next year. I’m trying to figure out what to expect, how to prepare for retirement, etc. Any suggestions? Feeling overwhelmed, not sure where to start. They live in India while I’m in Canada and no chance of bringing them over right away ( will take 3 years or so, based on visa timelines). They are mobile right now but we had a bad scare where dad was hospitalized overnight and I can see that they need someone for these once a year events ( which will probably get more frequent).
