You become a brand management expert on your own. Then you lie on your resume about your consulting experience and say it was all brand management work
Please exchange your oral communication skills with my quant skills (had a score of 51/51).
GMAT is a creature of habit. Practice practice practice and you’ll start to recognize the patterns
Don’t give up on the gmat. You’ll get there with help and practice. Have faith in yourself! It’s not easy to get a job at Accenture but you did. You just need practice on the gmat
I posted this elsewhere. I went from
Q23 to Q49. It’s very doable. Get over the mental handicap that you’re not a “math person” or won’t ever get a good score. Brute force practice will get you there.
And honestly, you can switch to brand management right now as a consultant. Contact recruiters and tweak your resume a bit
There’s a ton of “marketing agencies” or “brand consulting firms” that you may look into such as Kantar or Prophet
@SC1, I actually have really good Quant skills. It’s just not translating to the GMAT exam. I can’t explain it
Putting a portfolio together is easy. For this, just print out a bunch of your best decks. I’m sure a lot of brand mgt will require decks. Tons of sales studs, Inc your ideas to clients about why they should portray their brand a certain way. People your thought process with your consulting hat. Also know you will most likely take a massive pay cut
Wow, that’s amazing. I’m too embarrassed to give you my Quant score. Lol
^me my verbal score - 34 😢
OP. How can you survive in Consulting without Quant skills? You’ll be fine. Just practice. Take a month off ( unpaid if you can) and do full time Math. I’m sure you have it in you.
Do you have to have a “portfolio” to get into brand management - the first agency I looked up, asked for that. I do not have a portfolio.
@IBM1 thanks! But how’d you do it? What were your study habits?
Try the GRE instead!
