On a more helpful note, if you don't have $1000 liquidity for an instrument, you shouldn't buying it. Buy a second hand piece or go take a class or use a friend's instrument. You can't generate $1000 in market gains definitely. Im assuming you don't have a car to try driving with Uber either. Do you have a skill? You could do some part-time work. Bunch of platforms out there where you can provide hourly data analyses/research support or help people move (if you're handy). Alternatively, sell bunch of your unused/old stuff on Craigslist. If you have awesome genetics + good school/trajectory, def try a sperm bank 😎

As consultant 1 said Uber is always a good bet if you have a car. Cryptocurrency isn't a good bet because it's constantly a bubble (it's the most volatile currency). If you don't have a car you could look into offering your services online (writing, fact checking, writing code, whatever). There are tons of desperate people willing to pay someone else to do their work (although it is shady).
