I want to move to LA because I'm tired of the suburbs in a small town. Pros / cons? Bad idea?

Pros - everything cons - expensive

like

Very expensive, horrific traffic and crazy drivers. On top of that, small downtown that smells like piss and is infested with a legion of homeless people. Plenty of crime. Upside, easy to find great food, entertainment, bars museums etc etc. If you make good money, LA is fine. If you make less than 100k, it can be rough.

like

Pros: Babes everywhere
Cons: They don't want shit to do with you unless you're a millionaire or have a status.

Cons - traffic, LAX

@pwc3 that's if you're in the office everyday during normal hours. Your office is in the worst place to be at 5pm and 8am. Shift your schedule and all good.

Same issue $$, less traffic

You could have me as a roommate though

I'm from SD. False @pwc1

When I worked in the LA office I lived in Los Feliz, took the subway to work (employer pays for your pass per CA law) and loved it. I still visit LA every month or so. Great restaurants, love the beach, skiing is not too far. I could give a shit about the traffic, I grew up there, you just deal with it and figure out alternate routes. ;-)

Hi! Trying to sell a client on casting someone with a disability (that in no way affects or changes the story) in a film. Their concern is it will 'add an unnecessary layer'. Does anyone have links to a good presentation/data set to prove the benefit of normalising the inclusion of disability? Want to convince them with data. TIA!!!

I have a question for those who prep individual tax returns. My parents claim my grandfather as a dependent on their tax return and due to their low income, receive PTC for the premiums they pay on his insurance (not eligible for medicare). However, would it be advantageous to have him file for his own tax return (he stays with my parents and doesn't have his own proof of residency via bills). If so, can he get PTC if his income is 0?
