I want to pivot into the sustainability sector but I lack a formal degree in a related field and I have no experience volunteering or otherwise. Where should I start? I feel passionately about climate change and personally spend a lot of time learning/educating within my own spheres, but have been unable, due to personal circumstances, to really dedicate time to gaining concrete experience

I’m a data engineer/engineering manager by trade and massively screwed up by going into MBB consulting, I absolutely despise it and am looking to leave about 8 months in. I have a great offer from a fortune 50 for product management in tech at a similar salary, way more RSU’s but can’t shake off the thought that I wouldn’t be an engineer anymore. Any advice from you guys to help get past my anxiety and just pull the trigger?

What skills do you need, or is it really just based on YOE (I am the youngest compared to my teammates, many who have 10+ YOE)? I feel like career pathing is not very clear at my company. Currently going to school for my cannabis certification but I rarely see any jobs that offer cannabis research. I currently work in a lab/greenhouse environment and would love to continue that line of work with hemp/cannabis. Advice on talking yourself up in interviews to place yourself above your typical year’s pay/skill? I’m a 2nd yr that is way more qualified than just doc review/discovery/shadowing more senior lawyers but I don’t want a firm to use that as justification to kill/dump me with work. I want the work life balance I never got at my current job but don’t want to stunt my progress as a lawyer by signing on for entry level skilled work to get that balance.
