I want to quit the 9-5 and become a travel blogger. Am I crazy??

Not necessarily crazy but it’s pretty saturated area

Can I have your 9-5? I’m currently trying quit my 8am-9pm

likefunny

Thats what I mean by 9-5😂😂

funny

No, sounds cool tbh. Just need to figure out how to monetize it.

like

Nope, you just have to be really good at it, good luck

Don’t listen to the naysayers and folks who gave up on their dreams. Any market is over saturated, and is that really a reason not to keep going? A new hamburger restaurant is always popping up, despite McDonalds being on every street corner. Same with pizza, hotels, basically anything. Figure out how to differentiate yourself. There’s a ton of ways to stand out and be captivating! My husband and I watch a Las Vegas travel blog and it brings us clarity for which hotels to avoid on our yearly trips. Follow your dreams and you can always find side work or a part-time if needed!

likesmart

Yes! Saturation isn't necessarily a bad thing. I have a side business in a decently crowded space where I have a few big competitors. But I made 6 figures this year (more than my current salary lol). I differentiate myself and people like me for it. Be yourself because there's no one else like you. There's one differentiator already.

Lol are you rich?

likefunny

Yes. That market is saturated and the bubble will pop eventually. Then you'll be scrambling trying to figure out what to do next. I'm sure all travel bloggers took a pretty big hit with the pandemic and am not sure when things will be back to normal enough to allow them to get back to it.

Nope

I dream of that life. I get tired of social media tho! If you enjoy and it and feel you can monetize it… go for your passion. The corporate world will always be there

Do it
