Hard to say. Sponsorship will depend on what the US policy on visa situation is at the time you graduate. If we get 4 more years of current administration, who knows what that situation will be.
You only get 1 year of OPT so 1 chance at H1B lottery, it will be close to a 50/50 chance for you, if you get a job. A Top 15 will open doors, but you will be $150k in debt. It’s an expensive lottery ticket, though being in a similar position I am rooting for you!
Thanks A1 - rooting for you too! 👊🏼
I had a STEM degree (Econ) from undergrad that I haven’t used up, so the additional 2 years of OPT will roll over to my next degree. Hopefully that 3 years will help with my chances.
Depending on your level, you can also get Accenture to sponsor L1 visa, an intra-company transfer visa. Less of a gamble for you
SC1 - can I DM you with a follow up question regarding this?
Context: If all goes well I’ll be 4 years out of college by the time I matriculate (hopefully 2021).
Graduated from NYU Econ for undergrad. Worked in NYC for a year out of college, before I returned back to motherland.
No, at least not for consulting. Sponsorships are tight in general and are a hiring consideration. In the consulting industry, MBA hires are typically Strategy. In ACN Strat, we don’t sponsor w/out US work auth bc the paperwork isn’t worth the burden.
