I want to scale back on wearing makeup to work but my hereditary dark circles are killing me - people think I'm exhausted/ill. Anyone found a product that actually works to reduce them?

Guess I’m off to the potato store! 🥔

like

Same boat – no matter how much sleep I get I still look like I’ve had none. Product-wise, it might sound crazy – and it’s not actually a product – but putting freshly sliced raw potato on your dark circles works wonders. Insider tip from a dermatologist friend. The Avène eye cream is great afterwards and overnight, and of course a boss coverup like Nars Creamy Concealer so we a) feel bright-eyed and badass, and b) don’t frighten young children in public. Should be good to go!

The Ordinary Caffeine solution has helped me a lot

Everything from Ordinary is amazing. My skin has changed completely. I use the caffeine and also the hyaluronic acid, niacinamide & zinc, magnesium cream, and rose hip seed oil.

Not knowing your skin tone, I love origins tinted moisturizer, and I heard first aid beauty has a good one too. I do that and a little coverup under the eyes and on any blemishes, then put a powder to set it and im good to go. If I feel like it I put on some mascara and that helps make me look more awake. ELF also has great little highlighter sticks that I use in place of blush for every day

☝️this. And also look up lymphatic drainage massage and how to do that for eyes. Not dramatic, but it did help

like

I’m all about a focus on a consistent, thorough skincare routine over tons of makeup. Foreo eye massager + Amore Pacific eye gel (every morning and night after cleansing/toning) + second the Nars concealer comment if still needed + highlighter/swipe of mascara to make you look even more bright eyed.

Saturday Skin has a good eye cream as well that is a bit less expensive. I’m sure there are many others but I’ve seen a massive difference in my under eyes with daily double eye cream duty.

like

Ole Henricksen banana bright under eye has been helping me. I’d also say, I’ve been scaling my makeup back and find that with good blending, I can get away with just a bit of concealer under the eye. It really does help brighten the face a lot

I was checking and comparing healthcare costs for the two companies my spouse and I work for. For me with HSA it is around $900 per month for just Medical, Vision and Dental. For my wife (with HSA) it is $300 per month. Both have $3000 deductible. My out of pocket max is $14000 while my wife’s is $7000. All of these numbers are for a family of 4. Why do we have such a huge difference in healthcare costs for similar coverage? My wife’s company is 30K employees and my company is 300K employees.
