Hi All! I hope you guys are staying safe and healthy.
I am hosting a free workshop for teachers that I thought might benefit you. The workshop is called From Unsettled to Prepared Classroom. I am giving you the tools you need to feel organized and ready for this upcoming school year. There is so much that is still uncertain and it can be super daunting to start to plan for a year like this one.

What is your best classroom management trick?
Hi everyone!!! Last year I put together a list of classrooms to exchange valentines with! We mailed 1 valentine to each class and included a picture if we could, and a few things about where we live and things we do!
I currently have 13 classes signed up! The more the merrier!!
We have classes CA, WI, PA, KS, TX, RI, MI, Canada, New Zealand.
I have a form to fill out if you are interested! I will email everyone the list probably at the end of the week if not sooner!

LOL- Just another day on zoom :-)

Take post it notes with you. Stop in for 5 minutes, write a positive comment and stick on the teacher's desk.
Absolutely!! Great idea!
Be too busy for the other things. As a teacher whose had both kinds of principals, I can tell you we work 400 times harder for the leader who makes popping in on the kids and classrooms more important than anything else. It lets us know you aren’t disconnected from what’s truly happening in your school.
Personally, not seeing my principal is not a problem for me. Just as long as I know I can count on him if I need him, I'm good. He can do his thing and I'll do mine. 😂
Even just a quick pop-in would really help!
I agree with the post it note idea. I would LOVE my principal to say something positive in a note.
I can see that happening.
Yeah, I’ve had principals that popped in ALL the time, like Mike Myers horror movie out of the closet when you least expected and OFTEN very GOTCHA!! And this year I never see mine and I don’t like that either. A nice middle ground is best. Just be there. We’re busy too. We get it. I’ve eaten in the break room like twice this year cause I’m sped and they always jam us in the back dungeon of the school. But a friendly pop in or thanks for what you do note goes a long way.
tbh, i always lose my train of thought when the principal comes in!
Set a schedule and stick to it. Hold yourself accountable to it. That other stuff can be done early morning, evening, emails can be sent at night, but class is only in session for a set amount of time.
