How bad does it look to future employers for an experienced attorney (15+ years) who is pivoting into a different practice area and looking to lateral after only having been at their current/first job for 4-5 months in the new practice area? I've been told by a recruiter that it's not a deal breaker because of my experience level. I’m working on building a start-up. This requires an app and a website. A friend of mine has a web development company who can do the job for me very well and efficiently. He really likes my project and offered a partnership: i pay him $30k and he gets 20% equity.
