I was just offered a job with the state government. It’s a pay cut of about $60-80k (and a much lower ceiling) but it means I’d be working 40 hours a week, wouldn’t have to stress about billables or bringing in clients, and would actually get to enjoy my time off again. I might even start to enjoy litigation again and I’d actually be helping the public instead of defending corporations. But am I crazy for giving up that much money?

I feel momentarily defeated. I wish my parents were more encouraging. Capital one giving $450 bonus if you move $50,000 into the account. Question: they said only new money qualifies. I had moved some money from cap one to chase on may 3. Can i just move that money back to capital one and get a bonus? Or would it count as “old money” and disqualify me from bonus since im just transferring the funds back to capital one from chase?
