I'm the hiring mgr for designers in my org. I recently discovered pay band information given to me by the HR generalist I'm working with on hiring was outdated and updated bands had been released over the summer (prior to my hire date). The outdated information had led me to believe a prime candidate was out of range. Aside from incompetence, can anyone think of a reason why HR might have withheld information about the pay bands? I assume mgrs see the full monty when it comes to pay...right?

I have been offered an Associate Role in PwC India with 10 LPA as fixed and 60k as Joining bonus. 1.90 lakhs in addition as the variable component. HR is saying that the variable component will not be there on the Salary structure, however, you will receive a letter after 3 months (probation period) regarding this.

Turned down an offer with a startup because the work responsibilities seemed to be beyond my reach with the amount of exp I have. Unexpectedly, the hiring manager is asking for time and expressing that salary and remit can be negotiated... Does this happen often when candidates reject offers? Sure I just started a new job as a project coordinator in January .
It my first job in clinical trials technology position prior to this I was in dentistry for 32 years and it’s taking me a lot to learn all the ins and outs of data analysis and some of the tech talk.
I’m very grateful to have the position because it took me 2 years to find a job! I just wish I could perform better and know my job a little more intimately.
