I wanted to go into consulting out of undergrad (just graduated) but ended up accepting a leadership development / management trainee rotational program role at a CPG company. Was very sold on it but since joining the company hasn't done a great job and has me made question my decision Is this sort of rotational program known at all in industry and is the experience accepted? I want to give it more of a chance, but am wondering if it would hold me back professionally (YOE) staying and rotating.

Not really. The experience is valuable for companies like Deloitte. The 1 year of experience you get sets you apart.

Deloitte recruiters usually hire grad students who participate in programs similar to yours like the Bell rotational program.

At least, better than call - center job.

Woth this, you can easily land a Business analyst role or consultant position @ Deloitte

Not sure what you mean by whether the experience is "accepted". It would be viewed in the same lens of your typical entry level corporate job. They're solid positions.

I think as long as you stay at the next place for a longer stint you’re fine to leave whenever. Just get a job before you leave.

I am new to consulting and usually feel that’s the reason but I am starting to question my team’s methods because I don’t think I am developing much. My team includes 1 of each - Sc ( me) , manager and Director. I am not included in client meetings and rather get a recording to watch later to bring out insights and get those feedback incorporated. There is0 client connect for me
